A DONATION TO AWUTU TRADITIONAL COUNCIL AND FOOTBALL CLUBS

On the 29th August 2024, Awutu Emasa Rural Bank has once again demonstrated its commitment to community development with a generous donation to the Awutu Traditional Council and the local football clubs in Awutu Beraku. This notable gesture was made during the vibrant Awubia Festival, an annual celebration deeply rooted in the cultural heritage of the Awutu people.

The bank’s donation, comprising a substantial financial contribution as well as essential items, was presented in a colourful ceremony attended by key dignitaries, traditional leaders, and members of the community. The Awubia Festival, known for its rich display of culture and unity, provided a fitting backdrop for this act of corporate social responsibility.

The donation to the Awutu Traditional Council is expected to aid in the council’s various initiatives aimed at preserving and promoting the cultural values and traditions of the Awutu people. The funds will be directed towards the organisation of future cultural events, the maintenance of historical sites, and other projects that serve to uphold the community’s heritage.

Speaking at the presentation, the Chief Executive Officer of Awutu Emasa Rural Bank, [Mr Maxwell Mensah, emphasised the bank’s dedication to fostering growth and development within the local communities it serves. “As a bank that was established within this very community, we understand the importance of our culture and traditions. Empowering Local Football Clubs

In addition to supporting the Traditional Council, the bank also extended its generosity to the local football clubs in Awutu Beraku. These clubs, which play a crucial role in nurturing young talent and promoting sportsmanship, received financial support, packs of water and sports equipment, including footballs, kits, and training gear. This donation is aimed at enhancing the capabilities of the teams and encouraging the youth to engage in healthy, competitive sports.

The leaders of the local football clubs expressed their gratitude for the support, noting that it would significantly boost their activities and help in talent development. “This donation will go a long way in improving the morale of our players and ensuring that we can compete more effectively in local and regional tournaments,” remarked Mr. Samuel Amoani, a representative for the football clubs.
